Please allow 24 hours turn-a-round time for the issuance of your work permit
Incomplete Forms cannot be processed
Work permits will only be issued to current AUHSD Students
WORK PERMIT DETAILS
Students (under age 18) interested in working must obtain a work permit. The "official work permit" will be given to the student once they have secured employment.
Below is the criteria for students to obtain a work permit by age range:
Age 16-17

When school is in session: Sunday – Friday students may work a maximum of 4 hours. On non-school days and Saturday, students may work 8 hours per day. Weekly maximum of 32 hours.

When school is not in session (summer vacation): Daily maximum 8 hours and weekly maximum 40 hours.
Age 14-15

When school is in session: Sunday – Friday students may work a maximum of 3 hours.

On non-school days and Saturday, students may work 8 hours per day. Weekly maximum of 18 hours.

When school is not in session (summer vacation): Daily maximum 8 hours and weekly maximum 40 hours.
ALL students must maintain a 2.00 GPA
Keep in mind that work permits are a privilege and may be revoked if the student and/or employer are not in compliance with the above mentioned requirements.
