First Semester had a Project in Chapter 3 Africa. Second Semester Project is called the Manuscript Book Project, due this year on Friday February 17 for 100 points. Teacher provides detailed directions, guidance, class time, library time, some materials, and some lessons along the way. Students are to provide the follow-through, the interest and curiosity, use class and library time well, and some materials.
Parents: Please sign the Project directions on MOnday night January 30 indicating you have reviewed them with your child. Thanks for your support.
MON: students turn in any late work from First Semester; Teacher warns about slacking at beginning of Third Quarter; Teacher introduces Middle Ages Manuscript Book Project (Book Project for short), due Friday February 17 for 100 points. Directions attached.
HW: Parents sign Project directions with "Due Date of Friday February 17 for 100 Points" on front. on-going HW for next couple weeks is to keep current on the Book Project. The first section is Feudalism and should completed by the end of the week. Due dates and deadlines will be posted in class and should be written in one's agenda.
TUES: Students begin the Book Project in earnest, focusing on Feudalism.
HW: continue on Feudalism; should be going to Media Center to use computers on Feudalism Section 1
WED: Feudalism, and then begin comparing feudalism in Europe and Japan
HW: should be going to Media Center to use computers on Feudalism Section 1
THUR: students should be done working on Europe vs. Japan hierarchy charts (side-by-side triangles) and section on lord/vassal relationship
HW: finish all of Section 1 Feudalism.Begin Groups of People Section 2
