Paul Chylinski
Mr. Chylinski graduated from Ball Junior High School & Loara High School and has been teaching at Loara since 1990 (Student taught at Loara 1987 and subbed until 1990). He began as a Psychology and AP History Teacher while coaching Water Polo and Swimming (which he played in High School) as well as being involved in Student Leadership. As need arose Mr. Chylinski moved in a few different directions running Work Experience, Student Store, School Newspaper and more recently Yearbook where he has been since 2008. While working in the AUHSD he has held a few special assignments from being a BTSA (Beginning Teacher Support and Assessment) support provider and worked as a mentor to new teachers in the district, working with Ambassadors and starting the districts pivotal "Servathon" program, in which all Stakeholders in the District are invited to Serve on the Martin Luther King holiday. Mr. Chylinski has been recognized as Activities Director of the Year for Orange County / Riverside, California (CADA) and Region 7 of the National Association of Student Councils which covers California, Oregon, Washington, Montana, Utah, Alaska, Idaho, Nevada and Hawaii. Furthermore Loara, under his leadership, has taken home a few awards for their Yearbook Program. In the community, Mr. Chylinski has been involved the Anaheim YMCA since he was a little kid attending and working summer camps, volunteering during the year as well as Directing a few programs for the organization such as Camp Fox and Camp Osceola (Today's Camp Miehana). Since its inception on Loara's campus, Mr. Chylinski has been the liaison for the YMCA's Anaheim Achieve Program. Mr. Chylinski attended Orange Coast College receiving his Associate Arts degree, Cal Poly Pomona and received his Bachelor's degree and a teaching credential from Chapman College (now Chapman University). He received his Masters of Science in Education from Cal State San Bernardino.
