Parent Engagement at Cambridge Virtual Academy
At Cambridge Virtual Academy, we deeply value the role of parents as active partners in their students' education. Our Parent Engagement initiatives are designed to foster meaningful collaboration, provide valuable resources, and empower parents to support their children effectively in their academic journey.
PTSA (Parent-Teacher-Student Association)
Our PTSA is a dynamic organization that brings together parents, teachers, and students to create a thriving school community. Through regular meetings, events, and volunteer opportunities, the PTSA provides a platform for parents to connect, share ideas, and actively contribute to the success of Cambridge Virtual Academy.
Parent Ambassador Team
The Parent Ambassador Team is a group of dedicated parents who serve as liaisons between the school and the community. These ambassadors assist in welcoming new families, sharing insights about school programs, and providing peer support to other parents. Their efforts help create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all.
School Site Council
Our School Site Council is a collaborative body comprised of parents, staff, and students who work together to set goals, review programs, and guide the allocation of resources to enhance student achievement. This council offers parents a direct voice in shaping the future of Cambridge Virtual Academy.
Parent Workshops
We regularly host workshops designed to build leadership and equip parents with the skills they need to support their students’ education. These workshops cover a range of topics, including:
Academic support strategies
Navigating virtual learning platforms
Understanding college and career pathways
Promoting student well-being and resilience
By engaging in these opportunities, parents become more confident and capable advocates for their children’s success.
At Cambridge Virtual Academy, we believe that parent engagement is a cornerstone of a thriving educational experience. We invite all parents to take advantage of these opportunities to grow, connect, and make a lasting impact on our school community.
